The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s leading providers of non-surgical cancer treatment, caring for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.
Our flagship specialist cancer hospital opened in central Liverpool in June 2020, supported by our hospital on the Clatterbridge Health Park in Wirral providing outpatient cancer treatment and supportive care and our radiotherapy treatment centre on the Aintree Hospital site.
Together, working across three sites and operating specialist chemotherapy clinics in four of Merseyside’s district hospitals, we are able to deliver a comprehensive range of inpatient care, advanced radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies including gene therapies and immunotherapies. The role of Assistant Services Manager- AccessTeam will offer the successful candidate an invaluable opportunity to contribute to a programme of service improvement and re-design whilst building on their experience of managing staff.
Managing and leading your team of Patient Services Team leaders, Patient Services Officers and Patient Services Clerks within the Access team, leading Registrations & Admissions, Scanning Bureau and Overseas patients services through a period of change will demand excellent interpersonal skills.
Role will be based within Clatterbridge Cancer Center, Bebington , Wirral with occasional travel to the new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Liverpool
It is essential that you have strong problem solving and decision making skills, and are confident when consulting and negotiating with members of your team.
On a day to day basis, the successful candidate will work closely with other managers in the Department to ensure the workload is managed effectively, resources are allocated appropriately and any unforeseen operational issues are dealt with efficiently. As such, it is essential that you can demonstrate a pro-active approach and the ability to use your initiative.
