An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Boiler House Operative to work as part of a team on the City Campus.
Working as part of a shift team (12 hours Days & Nights on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern) you will provide a continuous steam supply to the Campus, operating the main Boiler House and Gas Fired Standby Boiler House in a safe and conscientious manner throughout the site in support of Maintenance Technicians and Team Leaders.
To be able to operate steam raising plant, ancillary equipment and associated machinery in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with policies and procedures. You will undertake supervised and unsupervised routine maintenance and repair work using relevant tools and equipment. The post holder will be required to work in a safe working manner within the scope of the Health and Safety at Work Act and other relevant acts.
To be successful you will require a good working knowledge of a range of engineering maintenance procedures gained via practical experience.
You will receive shift enhancements in addition to the base salary.
