Menu Clerk / Administrator – COME JOIN OUR TEAM!

I work at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT as a Menu Clerk/Administrator. I generally work 20 Hours – 11am until 3pm Monday to Friday. On occasion I cover for my colleagues and work 6am until 11am, 5 days out of 7 – this helps give me a work/life balance. I work as part of the Catering Team reporting to the Catering Controller and Head chef. There are 3 people in the Menu clerks Team and approximately 70 people in the wider Catering Team.

What do I do?

My Duties Include

Working in a professional manner

Liaising with the Head Chef for an admin tasks needed for the service

Ordering Provisions, managing stock and reducing waste

Completing HACCP Paperwork

Ensuring Allergens and Nutritional Information if correct

I must maintain close working relationships with key groups of staff including my team, Kitchen Assistants, the Store person, Chefs and Restaurant Team

I will undertake any training relevant to the role including, Mandatory Training, COSHH and Basic Food Hygiene Training.

Where do I work?

I am based in the Hartshead Kitchens

Who do I have contact with?

I work as part the Catering services team but I have no contact with patients, staff or relatives as I am based in the restaurant during my shift.

What qualification and experience do you need?

You should be able to read, write speak the English language. You will need good communication skills, to have helpful manner and be polite in your team. You will need to show dignity and respect to all your work colleagues and be able to display the values and behaviours we expect.

Pay – You will be paid Agenda for Change terms and conditions (Band 2). support If you are rostered in for Saturday, Sundays or Bank Holidays you will receive an enhanced rate of pay.
