An exciting opportunity has arisen for substantive Band 6 radiographer vacancies to work within the Medical Imaging Department on the Ipswich Hospital Site within East Suffolk & North Essex Foundation Trust.

The department is part of a large district general hospital and radiographers will be expected to rotate through all general areas including the Emergency Department, CT scan, Fluoroscopy , all the plain film imaging modalities as well as opportunities for the right candidates to train within Vascular & Intervention and Cardiac modaliites

The department operates extended day working across a 7 day week and you will be expected to undertake overnight duties including undertaking m emergency CT scans, covering weekends/bank holidays on a rostered basis with contracted hours being worked over seven days.

Current experience of undertaking CT scanning and other more complex procedures both in and out of hours would be advantageous.

Applicants must have at least 24 months post qualification experience as a Band 5 radiographer and will be expected to undertake additional training in order to join out of hours rosters supporting service delivery if not already proficient. Once competency is achieved radiographers across modalities you will be covering 24/7 on a regular rostered basis.

In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, good radiographic and professional skills & standards and multi-disciplinary team working, which will include teaching colleagues and supporting undergraduate radiographers in training. Candidates will be required to demonstrate evidence of an up to date CPD portfolio as required for maintaining HCPC registration.

The successful candidate will be required to support the managers and area leads with delivery of an efficient and effective service within the current challenging healthcare environment. 1 full time position available – 37.5 hours

1 part time position available – 25.5 hours
