If successful you will also initially be working remotely in line with guidance from Scottish Government*** Fixed term for up to 36 months The East region of Scotland Deanery is seeking to fill a Foundation Programme Director role (East 3) based mainly in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.The Foundation Programme Director has responsibility for managing a foundation training programme providing for doctors holding the following appointments: Foundation Year 1 and 2, including locum appointments for training (LATs). The FPD should be a Consultant, General Practitioner or Associate Specialist/Staff Grade Doctor who is a Recognised Trainer. They will report to the Postgraduate Dean or appropriate Associate Postgraduate Dean. They will have a close relationship with the relevant DME(s) and Scottish Foundation Programme, to ensure quality management of their training programme as set out in the NES Quality Management Framework. He or she may also combine the role with that of an educational and/or clinical supervisor.The appointment process will be the responsibility of the Postgraduate Dean. The FPD will be managerially accountable to the Postgraduate Dean.1 session of PA/SPA time is offered for the post.
