The successful candidate will provide a high standard of care to a wide patient group of all ages, ethnic background and clinical condition during radiological imaging procedures which include, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and plain film examination. Assist radiology staff in producing high quality images in all imaging modalities, ensuring the provision of high quality, patient centred care, ensuring an effective and efficient flow of patients throughout the department and hospital.

SVQ III in Healthcare Support – Clinical (incorporating modules on radiographic images) or working towards or equivalent radiography experience.

Or

SVQ III in Healthcare Support – Clinical or working towards or equivalent experience working within a clinical healthcare environment/role.

Or

Postholders with no previous radiography experience will be treated in accordance with Annex 21 Arrangements for Pay and Banding of Trainees – 75% of the maximum of the salary scale.

Initial induction period of up to 3 months followed by a period of training and consolidation to achieve full competency across a range of specialties within 12 months.
