Job Description Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Finance Officer to support the delivery of consultancy projects. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the appropriate project management, administration and reporting associated with the delivery of a wide range of consultancy projects.

In this role, you will provide high quality administrative support externally to consultants and clients and internally to teams across the College. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective financial administration and maintenance of accurate financial administration and records of these projects.

Duties And Responsibilities

You will take an active project management approach to the portfolio of projects you are responsible for; developing good working relationships with the consultants, monitoring progress against financial and reporting deliverables, and acting as a source of expertise and advice to consultants assisting them with administration in the delivery of their projects. The ability to work across several concurrent projects is essential and you will be expected to support the Finance Manager in the preparation and facilitation of audit administration.

You will also perform a key role by assisting in the smooth running of internal project support processes to support the team. This is a busy and varied role which will require flexibility. The role will include interfacing with academic staff as well as representatives from client/customer organisations.

Essential Requirements

The role requires you to be flexible in your work and to be able to complete a variety of tasks simultaneously. You will also need to demonstrate administrative skills and financial experience in managing projects and budgets.
