About The Teams

The Digital Applications Team is made up of multi-disciplined individuals working mainly within the .Net Core and Framework in C#.

Front end development is a combination of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with Angular and Bootstrap as the preferred client-side frameworks.

Azure DevOps is used for Version Control, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

We undertake mobile projects using Xamarin along with other options, and might also take on work using a custom technology stack at the client’s request.

Main purpose of role

As a Software Tester you will work alongside an evolving team with the responsibility with ensuring standards and quality are kept to a high level.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to plan and structure their work from initiation through specification to final testing – whilst considering the real-time needs of the business. Being flexible enough to react to the rapidly changing demands of their operation is essential, therefore the ideal individual will be able to think quickly, plan carefully and be able to rapidly deploy robust, well-tested solutions.

Activities include

Develop and implement design test frameworks and strategies.

Analysing requirements/user stories and design of manual or automated tests with acceptance criteria to ensure the software under test meets those requirements.

Adhere to best practice and develop proactive solutions based on feedback from customer, developers and users.

Participate in development of test execution, defect recording and capture of test results. This may include the development and use of manual and automated test scripts, or UAT activities.

Testing across multiple platforms and devices.

Summarise results of test execution into test reports, during and on completion of testing.

Develop high value automated tests, write automation code, and mentor other in creating and maintaining their own.

Undertake investigation into underlying issues with Automated Tests and manage them through to resolution across programs.

Ensure relevant processes are in place to ensure automated tests are maintained across projects and service lines.

Ensure return on investment is obtained from automated tests, optimising best value and reducing waste across programs.
