The Surgical Assessment Unit cares for acute surgical, early pregnancy, gynaecological, orthopaedic, urological and ENT admissions, andd includes surgical emergency ambulatory care.
We are seeking to recruit motivated individuals to join our existing friendly and enthusiastic staff as band 5 Staff Nurse.
Assisting in the delivery of a patient-centred, clinically effective and dynamic service from the patient’s admission assessment to discharge, you should be caring, compassionate, forward thinking, well organised and have a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.
As part of our leadership vision, we are looking to develop our team approach to ensure the provision of the highest quality of emergency frontline surgical care for our patients. This is an opportunity to be part of a new dynamic, innovative team with the aspirations to be a gold standard unit.
This roles require the individuals to use their own initiative and be an advocate for the team as well as the patients. We will give you the opportunity to develop your innovative skills in order to create new processes that support the unit’s vision.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work autonomously under pressure in this very busy department.
