Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking to recruit five Applicant Enquiries Assistants to work in our centralised admissions team.
Duties will include: handling enquiries regarding applications for undergraduate (UG), graduate (PG), teacher training (ITE) and affiliate study (in person, by telephone, web chat, email and letter); working with UCLs enquiries system, the Student Information Desk (SID) to handle enquiries within agreed service levels; taking ownership of individual enquiries, ensuring resolution either through response to the enquirer or through triage to members of the admissions team.
Providing an excellent, responsive, customer service to applicants and departmental enquiries; assist in the processing of applications for UG, PG, ITE and affiliate study including: creating database applicant records; managing on-line applications and the applicant portal; qualifications checking and assessment; updating database records; and, verification of qualifications; general administrative duties such as filing, printing, scanning, sorting post and archiving.
All posts are open ended.
Key Requirements
The successful candidates will have good interpersonal skills with a tactful and diplomatic approach to communication (both verbal and written). The appointees will have excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work and think clearly and work calmly to meet service standards under pressure. The nature of the work requires individuals who are able to successfully work in a team.
